Wherever I go, there I am. I like to travel, read (menus, mostly), do a bit of gaming, and am a lifelong Star Wars nerd who likes The Last Jedi.
People who take down their Christmas decorations a day or two after Christmas, do you also roll through stop signs and run red lights?

We need to do everything we can to encourage posts like this on bluesky. Terrible food opinions from big name sportswriters are genuinely the lifeblood of any social media app
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Remember that time New York elected a Muslim mayor and MAGA shit their pants saying Sharia law was coming to NYC, and then like a week later Trump gave F-35's to Saudi Arabia, the capital of Wahabbi fundamentalist Islam, where 17 of 19 9/11 hijackers were citizens? Just to open Trump Tower Riyadh?

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

You mean the company that's currently being struck by its workers and the company that's currently being boycotted because of its terrible DEI policy rollbacks? Why not just call this the Chocolate Mint Racist Scab Frostie?
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

No Starbucks 'til workers get more bucks

(and whatever else it is they are striking for)
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

In 1972, a cat commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These kittens promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune @thatwriterguy@mastodon.social

@hassan.senate.gov - shame on you for thinking tonight’s vote moves the fight to a realistic platform. You voted for empty promises from a party that specializes in empty promises. Your yes vote was cowardice in action.
Hassan: My vote was to do two things: 1) Make sure the government is functioning… 2) continue the fight to a realistic platform to get the premium tax cuts done. If that is not successful, then shame on the Republican Party and shame on Donald Trump.

@shaheen.senate.gov - shame on you for giving up the only power your party has in this moment for an empty promise.
Reporter: What do you say to your colleagues who say this isn't a fight, this is a capitulation?

Shaheen: We have a guaranteed vote by a guaranteed date…

Reporter: There is no guarantee that this will become law.

Shaheen: There was never a guarantee that it would be become law.

Shame on every single one of these 8 senators. The ones who plan to seek re-election should be primaried out. Fetterman should just give up the pretense and switch parties.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.
