This museum is incredible! It reveals fascinating history that's often hidden from view. I'll passionately support this museum's mission.
Literally every Black person who comes to DC visits the NMAAHC and it’s a big source of pride among a very broad swathe of people. Censoring the work there won’t be as frictionless as people imagine.

Some of my relatives were targeted by McCarthy's HUAC, and I still support this move. In politics, turnabout is fair play; otherwise, it gets exploited. After WWII, we chose an anti-communist purge over denazification, which partly explains the ideology of some tech leaders today.
i will become a total shill for whichever politician decides to become the joe mccarthy of rooting out silicon valley ideology and influence

A remake of The Great American Melting Pot would be fantastic, reflecting the rich diversity of our country.
Schoolhouse Rock is going to have to remake its cartoon on how a bill becomes a law.

To do that, I'd need to take a train to New York City, then the subway to the closest stop, followed by a walk of several blocks. There's a reason I left NYC—it's just too crowded. Instead, let's flood Congress with letters using pen, paper, envelopes, and stamps!
Indivisible is urging people to visit their senators' local offices between now and Thursday to demand that they use every tool—including denying a quorum and blocking unanimous consent—to fight the confirmation of Project 2025 architect Russell Vought for head of OMB docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Keep them coming!
Spotted this Galerina with the sun catching its cap yesterday. I could not decide if the close-up, the distant, or the in-between photo was the best. Went in the middle. Others below. Which one do you like?

The CEO of Bad Calculator stated, "We must radically transform societal structures to adapt, even if it means embracing utter simplicity."
I've created a calculator that gives you the right answer 80% of the time and I believe it will change the world

"Bad Ass a Tron" has become a popular catchphrase in our family after watching the first Transformers movie. It's a lot of fun!
Sonic 3 and Transformers One coming out digitally only a month after their theatrical release made me remember when it took about 6 months to even a year for movies to release on 2-disc-CDs at local video stores

doesn't seem that long ago but in with the times i guess

A year before meeting the Beatles, George Martin achieved his first UK radio #1 hit with The Temperance 7, a band known for reviving Victorian Music Hall style.
Asking someone what their favourite Beatles song is unprompted is ALWAYS Boomer nostalgiawank interviewing and i will die on this hill.

Band split up 55 years ago.

Go ask someone born in 1950 what their favourite Victorian music hall act is. See what level of answer you get. Same thing.

At a Lower Decks panel.

Q: “If they offered you a Star Trek police procedural, would you do it?”

Tawny Newsome: “yes but the first episode would be them all quitting being cops.”

Give this woman the keys to Star Trek now please.

Storm Troopers are named with purpose.
As a kid, I always wondered why I was so obsessed Star Wars. I always wondered why it was so important.

As an adult, I get it now. Star Wars at its core is a story about fighting authoritarianism.
