What a powerful juxtaposition: I just heard that the $40 billion Trump gave to Argentina to bail out his autocrat friend, is about equal to the annual budget of USAID, the organization that helped people in need around the world, and was fed into the woodchipper by Musk/Doge. It’s criminal and evil.

Things that make me go ‘hmmm’:
- if the Dems were smart enough to steal the 2020 Presidential election, why didn’t they give themselves more seats in the Senate?
- and having figured out how to steal the 2020 election, how come they lost in ’24?

When Bezos bought the Post, I initially thought it was a good thing, as his wealth could insulate the Post from the financial pressures that have taken down so many good newspapers. What I didn’t anticipate was Bezos’ willingness to bend the knee to Trump and MAGA. I’m so disappointed and angry.

When Bezos bought the Post, I initially thought it was a good thing, as his wealth could insulate the Post from the financial pressures that have taken down so many good newspapers. What I didn’t anticipate was Bezos’ willingness to bend the knee to Trump and MAGA. I’m so disappointed and angry.

I didn’t get a chance to comment on Ezra Klein’s opinion piece on the Charlie Kirk murder. But this reader’s comment comes pretty close to my thoughts.
We need a ‘CDC-in-exile’ to provide sound, science-and-evidence-based guidance to the public for the remainder of the Trump administration. We can’t trust the CDC, FDA, HHS or any other part of the Trump government; they’re focused on destroying the federal government as we knew it.

I don’t think our president knows what ‘thank you for your attention to this matter’ means. He uses it constantly, but almost always incorrectly.
