Up to 350 Louisiana National Guard members have been authorized for activation through Feb. 28, 2026. The troops will support federal law enforcement, incl DOJ and DHS, in efforts to "counter violent crime" in New Orleans and other Louisiana metro areas, remaining under Gov. Landry’s command.
