My small business has seen a 50% drop in revenue since March 1. March and April are historically on the higher side. Consumer confidence is shot. Trump’s tariffs are bad for Americans.

The cracks in the economy are appearing, @byheatherlong.bsky.social writes.

The U.S. is probably not in a recession, but it’s looking inevitable unless there’s a dramatic shift from the White House on trade.

So Trump wants to start shipping “homegrown criminals” to El Salvador? This is fine—if the first person sent is Donald Trump.

This is incredibly dangerous. If he can get away with this he will open a flood gate of targeted investigations of private citizens. We are stepping through the looking glass of fascism in real time! Congress needs to act immediately.

As trillions of dollars in corporate value evaporates and President Trump’s support in the business world is cracking, even Republican members of Congress are debating whether to take away the president’s power to wage a trade war.

From Trump’s own echo chamber: average Americans WILL feel the impact of Trump’s idiotic global trade policy.

I’m already seeing the impact on my local small business. Anyone else???

There is literally NO ONE with half a brain who can’t see these tariffs as a global economic su!c!de bomb.
Bartiromo: It is going to have an effect on Main Street. Some things will become higher priced. We will see some products actually be raised in price because companies will pass on the cost of tariffs to consumers

This is the truth. Republicans could put an immediate end to this insanity. They own this.
Republicans in Congress can repeal every tariff tomorrow and take Trump’s tariff authority away from him. But they choose not to. So every Republican in Congress owns EVERY SINGLE BIT of this. You can’t hide from the voters forever.
