One of the things I find interesting about Mamdani is he can’t ever be president. Thus, he can’t be groomed onto the imperial pathway and into possible presidential aspirations like Obama, AOC, Bernie etc. And this could keep a more radical politics in his life. bsky.app/profile/orga...
I think the pressure of an Obama affiliation would be a constraint on Mamdani’s leadership. I fear that he is going to be pressured by Sanders to endorse Platner — and if that happens the screaming you hear is from my apartment in midcoast Maine.
