NJ. 36. Scorpio. Just trying to be a lil engine of good... even if that means I'm just one more voice shouting into the wind. 🌻🌊💜
Lately I’ve heard people on TikTok & elsewhere recommending water balloons for protests, filled with paint or grease & sand… but honestly, I sometimes wonder if we ought to bring back tarring & feathering… if these fools want to follow the Chicken in Chief, might as well look the part..?

a very good feeling is getting a book from the library that you were considering purchasing and then finishing it and thinking "that sucked ass, i'm so glad i get to give this shit back"

There’s something to be said for taking the Mon Mothma approach to handling your anxiety… pound some shots & rave while you wait for the hammer to fall…

I never had the desire to watch The Handmaid’s Tale because it looked disturbing/distressing.

I began watching last night because it’s time to challenge myself, & because I want to be ready to face what I think is (but hope to hell isn’t) coming…

The barely-reported on Kansas tuberculosis outbreak..? Yeah, it spread to Ohio. And the CDC has their hands tied so… that’s swell.

This isn’t a fly by night operation

It was methodically laid out, and guarantee had many practice runs

Like bank robbers, they knew exactly how to access every door, every room, every system

I saw someone reference a tweet asking why ICE would target the Navajo…

The Third Reich targeted the Romani during the Second World War. While not a direct comparison, I would argue that we could draw a similar parallel between racial & socioeconomic discrimination leveled against both groups.

A Black Hawk is huge. Planes aren't built to survive such a huge structural hit.

That alcoholic Defense sec has some explaining to do.

Why was a military Black Hawk flying in domestic airspace across a landing field?

That isn't a training exercise.

They opened up apparently one of the bigger morgues along the Potomac.

In the meantime, CNN played a crash injury lawyer ad directly after their "special report" and kept going on about no VIP’s on board.

MSM is so vile.

All involved are VIP’s to somebody.

Target’s cutting their DEI program, but just wait—they’ll be waving that Pride flag in June like clockwork. Why? The merch is already ordered, and the profits are too good to pass up. Performative allyship, aisle 3.

One of the country’s largest retailers said it will end the diversity, equity and inclusion goals it sets in three-year cycles and curtail racial equity initiatives.

Secretary of Defense… but only the defense of men, & the right to drink yourself stupid.

More like the Secretary of Disgrace.

We need to open a bottle of red wine and put it next to a picture of Pete Hegseth to see which one the public sours on first and decides to dump.

Someone from TN better come get their boy Ogles because he’s gotta be drunk or on drugs. Y’all need to handle him before we have to consider bringing back tarring-&-feathering as a common-day practice.

My immigrant employee just held the door for an Amazon delivery driver wearing a Tr**p 2024 beanie & a black flag hoodie under her vest.

Earlier tonight, I was discussing best to protect my vulnerable employees… but what can I say or do?

I wanted to rip that hat off her stupid head. I hate this.

You won't be any better at fighting what's coming if you burn yourself out and spend all your time feeling bleak and hopeless, and the people telling you that it's all despair now probably don't have anyone's best interest at heart.

Someone commented on a TikTok I just watched re: the sense of… off-ness on TikTok after is came back: “Someone said it feels like you took your eyes off your drink at a party and now someone is smiling at you while you take a sip and....yup”

Finally migrating away from TwiX... but that makes sense in a way. I created my personal Twitter account just after the 2016 election, when I felt helpless & needed an place to direct my fear & frustration. Now, eight years later, the world seems even more bleak... but I'm hoping for better days.
