This is a persistent problem with the legacy media that will become more glaring as Trump does increasingly outrageous things. It is one reason we are seeing viewers and readers abandon them in such large numbers.
It seems most in the press are either unwilling or unable to call out the extremist nature of Trump's appointments using plain language, whether due to complacency, fear of backlash, or a misguided sense of neutrality.
