Tonight at the Rhode Island Ave metro station in DC a volunteer shouted to warn ICE was present, per a tip.

Agent screamed at her to leave: “These people are coming home from work. They don’t gotta hear your voice yelling at them.”

But they need feds surveilling them?

Hotels that already accommodate pets should partner with local animal shelters and allow patrons to book rooms with a furry friend. I'd be really happy to pay a little extra to have a little companion for a few days.

You may have seen reports that the stadium would cost DC taxpayers ~1 billion dollars. It's actually 6X that.

My latest with @alexbaca.bsky.social and Hal Connolly lays out the hidden costs.

Fuck. This. Administration. And all the hate-mongering and fear they've created.
I am sure the Stephen Millers of the administration are giddy seeing news like this, but this is sickening. Short of a military overthrow, how does the LA Olympics or the World Cup happen here? You have to assume that stuff will just be a no-go for so much of the world.

Yes, please make this happen! The last thing that DC needs is a stadium that sits empty 6mo of the year.
In this week's Wilson Building Bulletin: A group of progressive activists say they are planning a push to put a measure on the D.C. ballot that, if approved by voters, would prohibit the RFK site from being used for a new football stadium.
