Dit was echt grappig en dat vind ik knap, want het gaat over iets heel ernstigs. Dankzij de machtige, rijke lobby vd veehouderij is Europa hard op weg om verkoop van plantaardige alternatieven te saboteren. Resultaat: meer CO2, meer vervuiling bodem/water, meer boskap voor veevoer, meer dierenleed.
Het Europees Parlement gaat morgen stemmen over een verbod op “vleesnamen” voor vegetarische producten. Het gaat om woorden als ‘schnitzel’, ‘worst’, of ‘burger’. Die mogen dan voortaan alleen gebruikt worden voor producten waar vlees in zit #LUBACH

Dit was echt grappig en dat vind ik knap, want het gaat over iets heel ernstigs. Dankzij de machtige, rijke lobby vd veehouderij is Europa hard op weg om verkoop van plantaardige alternatieven te saboteren. Resultaat: meer CO2, meer vervuiling bodem/water, meer boskap voor veevoer, meer dierenleed.

Een vraag waar ik al geruime tijd over pieker: hoe in godsnaam kun je mensen toch duidelijk maken dat hun rancune op de verkeerde elite is gericht? Terwijl zij zich afreageren op links en asielzoekers, worden grote rijke bedrijven steeds rijker over onze rug, en ongelijkheid steeds groter.

Als men de 5% net zo vrijblijvend beschouwt als de 0,7% voor ontwikkelingssamenwerking of de 1,5°C van het Klimaatakkoord, dan zijn het loze beloftes.
Net die selectieve daadkracht, is waarom ik me zorgen maak. Veiligheid is veel meer dan tanks of munitie.
