one of the appeals of bluesky is simply that it is ridiculous and unserious in precisely the way that musk doesn’t get. he thinks he’s funny but isn’t and has turned twitter into a reflection of that.

@reuters.bsky.social just characterized the increase in the debt ceiling as a “fight” between the Dems and Repubs. That’s a lie. It’s a repub crafted false narrative and disinformation campaign to eliminate the social safety net.

Tiktok is where I first saw the riots in France. It’s where I first heard about the expulsions from the Tennessee House.

So many of my friends, mostly from afar, are pissed I bailed on FB. And that’s a real downside. I just can’t go there anymore.
