🎶The Homin Choir performed Mykola Leontovych’s world-famous Shchedryk in the Austrian Parliament.

The song — now a global Christmas classic — was originally written in Pokrovsk, a city that is currently being destroyed by Russia.

As always Beefeater points to things people generally overlook - I can highly recommend his posts
Al-Qaeda threatens to seize Putin's gold mines in Mali

"The military junta in Mali, supported by Russian mercenaries, is on the brink of losing power. Al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadists are blocking the capital Bamako, limiting fuel and food supplies.

Oksii does great work and has for a long time - so if you are able please support her found raiser ❤️
3rd SAB needs 2 Dji Avata 2 drones. As I mentioned earlier, @Iraapolo already raised with her community for one, left to raise for the second (€1085).

Jo Wolff lecture very worth a watch, lots of enlightening observations - I can only recommend it - then again I am biased as he refers to my favourite authors and thinkers of that time ❤️
Thanks Thomas! I don’t think it will be broadcast. Might be recorded. There are a few of my lectures on YouTube. This one has the highest production values!

Great article, yet still I am saddened and still disappointed that Ko Un never got the price - his poetry is magnificent ❤️
A year later, I still think I wrote the single best take on Han Kang’s Nobel win. I especially loved taking this essay away from the New York Times and the Atlantic and giving it to @wasafirimag.bsky.social

Well given that DOJ in July this year closed an investigation on basis that there was no 3rd party to investigate - this seems very weird 😂
Coons on Epstein files: "My hunch is that AG Bondi, having just been ordered on social media by the president to open an investigation into a series of high-profile Dems, will promptly say, 'No, there's an ongoing investigation, we can't disclose any of this,' and the president will back that up."

Great article - but I don't from a simple cost perspective that 200M would be needed ❤️
Read Erlend because he's right!
Sick of living in an obscenely wealthy country utterly incapable of strategically investing its capital for pro-social gains.

Rereading Hannah Arendt "On Lying and Politics" - I am reminded that politicians lying also destroys democracy ❤️
Critique is not automatically criticism

It should be an essential part of democratic debate (and academic debate for that matter)

Or Denmark and mirror their MitID and get rid of paper communication while they are at it
Hell, fuck it:

Give the UK ID Card project to the 🇫🇷 Agence Nationale des Titres Sécurisés (ANTS), IDEMIA, and La Poste while you're at it

We'll do a better job and have been running ID card systems for decades while you brits have been crying about the illuminati coming to steal your jaffa cakes
So maybe everyone should lobby against Palantir having a role in the project, rather than lobbying against the incoming UK ID card system?
