Three years of hard work. Earned my degree in Archaeology, a dream my younger self barely dared imagine. My studies took me to magical places in Greece, deepened my love for the past, and forged friendships I’ll always treasure. Onto my next adventure, moving to Japan in August.

The most annoying lie Chomsky spread about the Yugoslav war is "Nato aggression". In 1992 the Pope negotiated a deal with the Serbs that an Italian air force plane could evacuate the children of the besieged city of Sarajevo. The Serbs then shot down the plane. So the Serbs shot at NATO first.

With all the news coming in, it's clear that it's a dire time for science. It's a very dire time for higher education. It's an especially dire time for archaeology

Archaeology has been facing funding cuts for years, and now it is being decimated

Dress it up in progressive language but you're cheating yourself by not doing the work. This is the worst thing about AI: millions of students refusing to learn, taking zero interest in the world around them, empty in mind and heart. Your punishment is the person you will become.

CNN: Ukrainian art historians and museum directors are doing everything they can to retrieve stolen works and protect what remains.

For Ukrainians, more than three years into Russia’s full-scale invasion, the war isn’t just being fought in the trenches. It’s in the museums, and in the cultural heritage they seek to preserve.

During my recent trip home to Melbourne I had the opportunity to view some amazing ancient Chinese bronze vessels from the Shang and Zhou dynasties (ca. 1600-256 BC).

These objects are a part of the collection held within the National Gallery of Victoria.

Well worth a visit.

Nice to see some unity in these here trying times.

New discovery: Archaeologists have made a sensational discovery northwest of Hedensted, Denmark: a massive and exceptionally well-preserved weapon hoard consisting of more than a hundred lances, spears, and swords, as well as a chainmail.
