i found this far more compelling than cain's other work, and hope she makes more like this. didn't quite light me on fire, but it's a gorgeous album and i can see myself listening to it again on some dark winter day.

i want to get mad about white heathcliff but i guess he's never once been played by a nonwhite actor on screen so this isn't one of the reasons the emerald fennell adaptation will be uniquely bad. there are plenty of other reasons for that
