- early january nominations, late january awards show
- all games released that year are considered
- voters get more time to play games over holiday break
- flights to LA are cheaper

Valve has to be thinking at least a little bit about not just the vulnerability of Xbox and PS5, but also Windows as a platform. They've built compatibility emulation layers that outright dismiss many reasons to not use a Linux machine.

Here's the thing:
1. I think the cost analysis of buzzing in first because you get to make an educated guess vs waiting to get the point by praying the others get it wrong, is exciting.
2. It's easier for contestants to remember 3 multiple choice options than 4.
3. People getting points is fun.
