There’s a roughly 40 year cycle in mass government funding in research and technology before you get consumer applications and guess what we stopped doing almost exactly 40 years ago
this is why they were pouring money into crypto and the metaverse, this is why they’re doing the same with AI. it’s been around 7+ years without any large scale changes in consumer tech, and about 2 since interest rates made big IPO exits less attractive. they’re getting desperate.

I think people should be allowed to have conversations about how they think certain people are pushing boundaries and their discomfort, though unfortunately most of the callouts have not been from you or others who've been doing that but people out for blood. Like there's two different conversations

I'm gonna say one final thing about all this, and then I'm done forever. Frankly, whether all of the shit being said is true or fully accurate or not, this is a conversation about whether someone is a bad enough person that it's okay to drive them to suicide. I'm not okay with that conversation.
