Uruk love.

I finally finished my drawing of Fabio and Hubert (thank you @thewheellargo.unhingedfellowship.lol for naming the latter), two lovely orcs from The Rings of Power. Happy, but exhausted.
Drawing of two Uruks, seemingly having a row. Close observers will notice that the colorful background is dotted with little hearts. So perhaps they aren’t fighting after all. The drawing is done with pastel pencils. Both orcs wear armour. They stand in front of the entrance to the orc trench camp, protected from the sun by a canvas canopy. The scene is taken from The Rings of Power. Full drawing Close-up of Fabio‘s bandaged hand. I like the bone element he wears in the way of cuffs. The leather strap Hubert has wrapped around his arm is one of my favorite details in this drawing, apart from the little hearts of course.

Next week's "Tolkien Trewsday" + "Tolkien Tuesday" theme for Week 27 (Tuesday 29th August 2023) is "Memory" - that week will lead into the 50th anniversary of J.R.R. Tolkien's death and it would be nice for people to share favourite or cherished moments of their engagement with him.
