CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

Billionaire tax cuts are a policy choice.

Cutting healthcare for millions is a policy choice.

Cutting food assistance for children is a policy choice.

Taking from the poor and giving to the rich is a policy choice.

Make no mistake: Trump and the GOP just chose to do this.

In the time you spend watching this video, Jeff Bezos will earn more than what the majority of full-time American workers earn in a year.

Say it with me: Tax the rich.

This is oligarchy. This is obscene.

While 60% live paycheck to paycheck & kids go hungry, Jeff Bezos, worth $230 billion, goes to Venice on his $500 million yacht for a $20 million wedding & spends $5 million on a ring while his real tax rate is just 1.1%.

End this oligarchy.

Trump's Big Ugly Bill is the culmination of 40 years of increasing social control in America — ballooning spending on immigrant detention.

To actually make communities safer, we should be spending on social investments like housing end education.

Instead of working tirelessly to take away our Medicare Medicaid and Social Security, shouldn’t Congress be investigating why the President gave a “big time drug addict” the keys to the US government?

Trump deploying ICE and then the national guard to attack US citizens to cover up stories about his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein isn't the first time he's pulled this move.

Gonna say something obvious to most: real masculinity defends the defenseless, punches up not down, has compassion, and fights only on behalf of others to battle injustice or evil.

It doesn’t just lift weights and tweet in all caps and listen to Rogan and grow a beard to feel accepted by other men

I respond to AEI’s mischaracterization of three of my papers

AND

discuss the clear evidence that work requirements don’t increase work, but do reduce food assistance for households that need it.
New from @chloeneast.bsky.social at Can We Still Govern:
AEI cited her work to make the case for SNAP work requirements. Chloe explains that her and other research show that work requirements reduce SNAP access while doing nothing for employment outcomes.

According to AP, the typical pay package for S&P 500 CEOs rose to $17M last year — an increase of 9.7%.

At half of the companies surveyed, it would take the median worker 192 years to make what the CEO did in one year.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.
