Genuinely yes you absolutely do need to stop assume your audience takes "seemingly obvious" things for granted in your political analysis! You would be shocked the amount of people who need it spelled out for them. Arguably you, for instance.

Maybe the American electorate should stop electing politicians who use starvation as a weapon?

How confident are US importers in the holiday shopping season and beyond?
Let’s just say inbound container units are expected to be DOWN 14.4% this month — and 17.9% next month.

That’s quite a legacy.

china's been hard at work, switching to solar energy, reducing emissions, and sending spacecraft to the moon. meanwhile, every western country is busy playing in the sandpit of "what if fascism again?"
This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"
China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

None of them will. They will pass the green bean casserole and scalloped potatoes and talk about how Emmerly and Jayden have grown up.
A question for all you “liberals & progressives”🙄🙄🙄 how many of you are going to confront your family members this Thanksgiving over their repeated voting habits? How many of you are going to call them out instead of blaming the party that always has to be the responsible one? I’m dying to know.
Now for some levity and logic based in facts.

Many of the same white voters who are screaming at Chuck Schumer and angry at the 8 Senators that voted to end the shutdown, are STILL going to have Thanksgiving and Christmas with their MAGA family members.

The results from a year ago gave us really bad options and worse options, and we have people On Here a year later excitedly talking about primarying Schumer like there's a "Stop the Bad Things Happening" button that Democrats refuse to press
People are starting to realize that their One Weird Trick isn't going to fix what's ailing the country, but rather than try something more productive, they're getting angry at elected officials who know that there is no secret button that will take them to before the 2024 election.
