I do like Frieren a lot and like the main cast but I think the demons are not really written the best when you look at the overarching narrative of the world and what we the viewer has been presented so far. (I have also only watched the anime so far so I don't know anything past that)

I’ve been watching Frieren, and I’ve really enjoyed it, but the demon town attack episodes are starting to lose me.
Evil race nonsense is such a cop-out narratively. It means the plot doesn’t need to figure out basic things like motivation because every member already has the same boring drive.
