I am so mindfucked this is what I get for being up past my bedtime
"did you try to bribe the president of the united states by giving him your nobel peace prize so he will declare that you are in charge of venezuela after abducting its leader by military force" is just a thing that someone can be asked in an interview now and we all have to deal with that
Hannity: Did you at any point offered to give him the Nobel peace prize?

Machado: It hasn’t happened yet. We want to give it to him. Share it with him.

I don't know which one was stupider as a little kid:

I used a kitchen knife to cut a paper plate to make a boat, and stabbed my palm.

I rested my finger inside of a soda can while watching Rocky and Bullwinkle alone.

In both situations I remained calm because I knew it was my own stupid ass fault
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

My brother loves this show.

Available on Tubi.
Max Headroom episode from 1988:

Carter discovers that Network 23's automated censor system is sending the metro-police to arrest Blanks who are gaining unauthorized access to pay-per-view educational programs, the only source of education for homeless children

Mom insisting laundry detergent isn't strong enough in its own to kill bacteria and insects so I HAVE to dry on high heat and the way it alters fleece fibers is SOFTER and BETTER actually....

As a kid I always hated getting faux fur clothing because it would inevitably be melted to a crisp....

Y'know, I've BEEN surprised that so far I haven't seen the transfem-separatist transmed clique have any self-centered takes about mpreg-loving trans men, since they seem to have one about everything else, but I guess they haven't thought of any wording yet that masks its hatefulness, whatever it is.

Why does Gollum keep being the focus of LoTR beyond the main story
Sir Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood will reunite as Gandalf and Frodo in ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM’

Production will begin in May.

The furry-hating weeaboo trannies really want to believe making a distinction between us and them because we're in a different fandom that is somehow less respectable inherently makes any difference at all. Weebs wear cat ears and say "nya" we are all going in the camps you fucking weirdos
January 6, 2026 at 2:41 AM
It would take half my shift to buy a 5-pack of name-brand underwear we sell, and I think that rate of pay is just ridiculous and insulting but like. Then what. Hahaha

I kinda miss having an obliviously lovestruck lughead in my life who would threaten to kick somebody's ass if they were transphobic to me

And I just found an unopened condom on the floor
January 6, 2026 at 12:37 AM
Look, I get that I just had to shave clean yesterday, and I don't pass well without my beard, but it's especially ridiculous to act skittish, stare at me, and mutter when the women's restroom is closed for renovation anyway, and also I work here and have my uniform on, meaning I'm here all evening.

Nobody needs all these graphic designers out here. There isn't enough work, they've already got the veterans they like. It's not a self-esteem confidence issue, it's an issue of confidence in the jobs market. Maybe graphic design just isn't that difficult of a skill.
January 5, 2026 at 11:56 PM
Lmao. I remember being ~15 yrs old just discovering a love for graphic design. I posted "I look forward to drawing the mascot on your cereal boxes," and a mentor at the time replied "aww, you should aspire to more than that"

I'm now 29 and such an opportunity would be the breakout gig of my career

Why is it always "ChatGPT has killed again. In one haunting message, it wrote: "[the most embarrassing cringe you've ever read in your life, with an em dash for flavor]"
“ChatGPT started coaching Sam on how to take drugs, recover from them and plan further binges. It gave him specific doses of illegal substances, and in one chat, it wrote, ‘Hell yes—let’s go full trippy mode’”

A Calif. teen trusted ChatGPT for drug advice. He died from an overdose.
"Who on earth gives that advice?"

If that's true why are we enforcing OUR law on anOTHER sovereign country
UN Ambassador Michael Waltz: "There is no war against Venezuela or its people. We are not occupying a country. This was a law enforcement operation."

I'm baffled by how little my fresh high school grad coworkers seem to know about the world. Stuff that I learned at my high school. I had to be the one to tell them about Henry Ford's origin of the 8-hour day, 40-hour work week, and that Islam is Abrahamic.

Is there anything the kids DO know???
January 5, 2026 at 9:13 PM
That doesn't even make any sense.
Microsoft is so fucking stupid.

Microsoft renamed Microsoft Office to Microsoft 365 Copilot App

I'm not joking

Lol

I think LLMs have an ethical use case as simply a different format of search query that feels more organic. Back in the day, Googling was a skill I had to learn in school. I guess people don't know/forgot that because it was a relatively narrow window of time due to how quickly the internet changes.

I enjoy hearing about how bizarre fascist dictators like Mussolini and Hitler were. They truly believed in some absurd shit. Were principled in it.

I wonder if I won't have anything to make fun of when Trump dies. He's suggestible. Has no "wait a minute" reflex. A fascist because they surround him.
January 5, 2026 at 4:33 PM
So we were all wondering why the explanation for the invasion of Venezuela was different with every GOP politician, and it's turning out to actually be:

María Machado won the Nobel Peace Prize for opposing Maduro and Trump was like "this is bullshit, I can do WAY worse to Maduro and I'll prove it"
January 5, 2026 at 4:17 PM
The Nobel Peace Prize committee should suspend the prize until Trump is out of office because he will declare war on the country of anyone who receives it. I dread to think of what would happen to any US citizen who does.
All it takes for the United States to declare war on you in 2026 is if you're not always considering the president of the United States and putting him first in everything you do
January 5, 2026 at 3:52 PM
Oh won't somebody think of the plight of and the unfairness faced by... foreign president Donald Trump???
WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.
