If you're a business owner who fires someone you have assigned to an overseas job and you don't buy them a plane ticket home you should actually go to prison
Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

The goal in Mahayana Buddhism is to become like The Buddha. It's a conscious pursuit.

In Christianity today, regarding Christ, the entire purpose of the faith has been interpreted as "don't worry, you don't have to change, and you don't have to ask the person you hurt for forgiveness, just God"

The aesthetics of a chain email your grandpa would send in 2003. I see things like this and I can't wait to not be a graphic designer anymore. Nobody needs me lol

Taoism: there is evil, but it's important

Zen Buddhism: there is no such thing as evil, only fear

Most actual Japanese people: I have to pick the right souvenirs for my coworkers for when I get back from my vacation

do NOT do this. do you really want to be on your deathbed and realize you've been CRINGE your whole life? yeah. didn't think so
An opinion I pretty firmly hold is that everyone should make a song, paint a painting, act in something, and write a book even if all of those things end up being objectively terrible

The Buddhist answer to excessive regret is to forgive others, and your mind may learn by example to forgive yourself. But I have done little else than forgive others, some say I'm too forgiving, but I'm still obsessed with my own regrets. It doesn't count when it comes to myself, because of my OCD.

Regarding the Epstein files, I mean, obviously the obscenely wealthy are cannibals.
It's the ultimate delicacy, isn't it?

Would Donald Trump not be impressed by a plate of human meat?

Obviously!

He's absolutely eaten it well-done with ketchup!

I'm totally convinced, at this point, that the only way out of fascism in the United States was going to be through. I feel like there are words to articulate it that I haven't found perfectly enough for my taste.

When you ask trans ppl why they want to transition they will most likely fall back on commonly understood stereotypes about what each gender is better at bc they are trying to get you to accept the answer by using the common language of gender.
You know, one of the reasons I didn't transition until my 30s is because every time I would attempt to puzzle through "I want to be a guy", people would always demand "WHY?!" and then when I fumbled trying to explain physical traits (the only vocab I had) they accused me of being anti-feminist

"but we must have a way to deport illegal immigrants"

Hey, did you know the passport was invented in 1920? Like as a concept it's barely over 100 years old? I think about this a lot. It actually seems like humanity was managing fine without border control for the majority of our existence.

Genuinely I think candy and sweets are more dangerous for me than alcohol. With alcohol, I either get drunk or it's not worth it, but when I do, I'm like "that was fun. But now I feel gross so like. Not gonna try that again for a while" I only get drunk a few times a year, but sugar? Constant fight.

Karma means that if I want things to change, I need to do something differently.

I would look older and more masculine if I had a more athletic build. And I would have that with how much I work, but my sugar addiction takes that from me.

Starting today, strict low sugar diet. No sodas or sweets.

Transphobia really has been the hobby, bonding activity, in-group signaling and social lubricant of the wealthy, same as racism has been for ages.
You’re not crazy. The anti-trans movement is not organic; it was funded by pedophilic billionaires like Jeffrey Epstein who backed a network of conservatives to accuse the same people they were sexually abusing of being the real danger. @madycast.com exposes the truth in our in-depth report.

I can’t overstate that nearly every good headline coming out of Minnesota has been followed up by retaliation by the Trump administration—which tends to get a lot less attention.

This is infuriating and devastating.

Scoping out men's fashion items hoping they'll make me look older but it's mentally exhausting. Men's fashion does not feel intuitive to me, or at least it doesn't when I'm trying to look more like "daddy" without trying cartoonishly hard. Watches, as a graphic designer as well? Ow, my brain.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.
