Hi, I am Jason. I voluntarily cut myself loose as a scientist for the U.S. Federal Government at the end of 2025 and am now working Freelance through my small cooperative L3C, Human In.Sites. T.R.S. is the spicier side of my public persona.
For the students of skill and human expert performance. Olympics start tonight!

As one who exhibits #OCD characteristics, I am intrigued . . . as one who knows the limits and challenges of lab-based fMRI research, I am aware more details will need to follow. Great start though.

Curious what kind of model is underneath it. If an LLM, there are still issues of quality to be considered. I am a fan of LLMs that are usable and better than the main commercial ones, but they should always be used with awareness of how easily they slip up in various ways. #LLM #OpenScholar
A paper in Nature presents OpenScholar, an open-source language model that can outperform commercial large language models in performing accurate literature reviews. go.nature.com/3MozzFq #Academicsky 🧪

Oh what a tangled web a planetary nebula can weave. The Red Spider Planetary Nebula shows the complex structure that can result when a normal star ejects its outer gases and becomes a white dwarf star

Don't fully trust organizations that only platform executives from industry. That myopia - which essentially sees and treats human labor as a replaceable resource - is why the world is in such a poor state now.

At this point, only the EU is standing up to the tech bros and their weaponization of social media, flooding it with pornography and hate algorithms. And as usual, Rep Gym Jordan (R-OH) steps forward as their champion, brandishing a firehose of lies. bsky.app/profile/noup...
Jim Jordan starts another censorship-hoax hearing, where you're asked to believe that Europe regulating its market has been a 10 year plot to mass censor the global internet. That's right: you couldn't talk about COVID or US elections and you never knew 🙄https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLHJJ_wjADU

There are very few followers here yet, but lets see how fun and creative y'all are. Does not NEED to be common political targets, could be satirical pokes at anything, bits of culture that haven't landed well, movies that failed to land with fans of the source. Have fun, shyteposts relieve tension.

Literally not a single person I know ever thought it was anything other than the tech spying on them. Everyone has known this to be true, it's just taken a court order to make the corporation admit it.
Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?

Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

Until Tesla is controlled by someone other than Elon, their cars are not to be trusted. Tesla leads the market . . . in autonomy-mode crashes & fatalities. Their camera-only approach is not viable. #DoNotTrustTesla

The love affair our culture has with status is frustrating. Yann LeCun here practically invented Deep Learning, a core element of modern AI. He also spent years simultaneously buoying and ignoring Meta's privacy invasions and power grabs. Much to respect about Yann, but he is no modern hero.
