Fair warning if you jump into my skyline saying I shouldn't be posting about stuff like TV shows and comics I like because the world is going to hell--that's an instant block.

This world is going to hell AND there are some nice TV shows on. I'm gonna post about both.

i'm rewatching iwtv with my mom and since our first time watching it i've told her about devil's minion so now every time daniel and armand are on screen she's like "oh god they’re flirting so much, their eye contact is so intense, this must be intentional, how did i not notice this the first time"

I read The Queen Of The Damned when I was 15 and absorbed Akasha and Armand haunt their respective boy toys to the point Daniel was on the floor snot nosed driven to madness begging Armand to leave him alone as a metaphor for AIDS and I turned out fine
Don't put Nosferatu discourse on MY DASH. I don't wanna see. I'm so sick of everything sanitized that you all cant handle a little Mary Shelley action. If it were up to me everything would be emotionality repression death and passion Wuthering Heights fucked up. Dorian Gray bounce on it crazy style

This #BlackHistoryMonth, I’m dedicating myself to FINALLY reading Octavia E. Butler. I’m a quarter of the way into Parable of the Sower and I love it. Looking forward to the sequel and Kindred!

3 things I did this morning to try and help, in case they inspire you to do similar things in your area:

1. Set up a small monthly donation to Wikipedia and Internet Archive. As websites get doctored or scrubbed, keeping records becomes even more important. These are 2 places trying to do that.
