I work on healthcare data management for the healthcare industry. Astronomy and cosmology curious, and absolutely rabid about FinSky.
This is exactly what I was thinking…

Unsolicited opinion:
Chat GPT5. More thoughtful, slower and still wrong 50% of the time. It also seems testy...

Maybe they should try switching it to a high fiber diet.

Aging sometimes feels like a slow decent into curmudgeonliness.

What tipped you off today? Was there a particular “get off my lawn” moment, or just the creeping realization that you're starting to understand why your dad always grumbled about the thermostat?

Yes, that’s because many of us shopped at Target because they were perceived as the “good” alternative to evil Walmart. Turns out we can just live without buying a bunch of junk

This 👇👇👇 Micropayments... I'd probably pay more overall annually if I was able to pay for access to either just the article or the whole site for just a day. This would put me in control of the spend and what interests me.
I appreciate this because it's better UX than just blocking me from a single article.

Doesn't have to be a nonprofit to do something similar.

I hate being haunted by an annual subscriptions when my income is variable. Micropayments w/ regular credit cards need to become a more viable thing ...

I think the days of folks who strictly write code have left us when the age of books died. Enter the new age of the application architect, whose job it is to know how all these AI generated routines and OOTB frameworks make cohesive and performant application. 1/2 🤔💭

X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

We humans have a tendency to believe bullshit, especially if it fits into our preferred ideological narratives or reflects our self and/or tribal identities.
