I have reached that time of day where I think I still have to use a cold pack on my face.

Just enough inflammation still that at end of day I can tell more and I would rather do cold things than take pain meds.

POV: You fixed the timeline queries on your appview fork but haven't backfilled people's profiles.

Two resources I've been combing over along with a LOT of additional research:

Good starting place chart but is missing some info (jurisdiction more complex than is listed) comparisontabl.es/cloud-storage/

Very good overview if you're looking at zero trust security:

Have I Been Pwned: Instagram Data Breach
In January 2026, data allegedly scraped via an Instagram API was posted to a popular hacking forum. The dataset contained 17M rows of public Instagram information, including usernames, display names, ...

Anyone I know use LucidLink?

I came across an s3 compatible / bucket storage company (without ingress/egress fees) saying it can be used to store LucidLink files in a way that looks useful but info is somewhat sparse. (I have this bad feeling LucidLink requires an enterprise plan to do this...)
Added into the research (I'm trying to solve some issues & reconfigure multiple things hopefully for the next 5+ years):
- pCloud
- Tresorit
- Acronis
- Mega
- iDrive
- Jottacloud also interesting but maybe too small
Has anyone I know used / tried:
- infomaniak
- owncloud
- wasabi
- backblaze

(Really wish I could easily search posts for just the accounts I follow to see who might be talking about what ...) A few of these have free options I may just set up accounts with to tinker.

Because the snow is melting off in the sun, it looks like there was hyper localized snow in various shapes based on shadows.
January 11, 2026 at 5:40 PM
We had a sudden intense but brief bit of snow here. Wondering how much will melt off because yesterday it was still really warm.

I need a timeline cleanse but it’s dreary outside so a search through my previous photos brings you this sun halo. (Sun dogs have brighter points I think.)

I'm going into a store to return clothes that were either sprayed with perfume or "scent branded" because they were so fragranced that hanging them in a shed for weeks wasn't enough to make me think they wouldn't ruin my washing machine. (Tags on.)

Wish me luck (holding my breath.)

If you don't react to lidocaine as expected & have always had to feel dental drills etc:

Septocaine (articaine + epinephrine) as intraligamentary block worked on me the other day (w/out the precision timing.)

Thank you to @rahaeli.bsky.social for posting so much info.

bsky.app/profile/raha...
Yup, here's a slightly more expanded version but generally just search "articaine" bsky.app/profile/raha...
This will almost definitely work if the underlying issue is a connective tissue disorder and probably help if it's a drug metabolism issue: ask the dentist to use articaine instead of lidocaine or prilocaine, and do an intraligamentary block instead of the standard IA or INAB blocks.

Just a heads up that Amazon is doing this without consent.

Keep in mind that small businesses are often hurt by things like this especially because the transparency is not there for the buyer. (Didn’t we go through this with the food delivery systems that didn’t ask restaurants?)
"When Amazon now ingests and operationalizes product data from outside its marketplace, from those that never opted in, merchants are right to have concerns as there is a history of data asymmetry translating into competitive advantage."

Amazon’s AI shopping pilots raise consent concerns as off-platform product is scraped, highlighting power imbalances between dominant platforms and independent retailers.

If I put you on a list and took you off, I’m trying to create something that’s less than 50% discussion about this platform or news. I see you in my following feed. (And a few of you just post so much you end up in about 6 feeds I use regularly.)

My face/jaw is sore but not bad today. I haven't had to take OTC pain meds but did ice my face a lot last night. (dentist - for those not following along)

Flagging a bit because I should have slept another few hours but ... leafblowers (better than elderly neighbor setting fire to his lawn.)

Christmas tree fires spike in January as people stop watering their trees. If you still have your tree up, make sure you're watering it and make sure you take it down before it becomes an enormous fuel source in your home.

Going back to food tracking so that I don’t make myself temporarily allergic to eggs which I HAVE done before.

I have made grits and I’m wondering if anyone has any seasoning / toppings they know they like beyond cheese & butter. (Needs to be soft because I broke a tooth.)
January 4, 2026 at 12:44 AM
1) I had plans for the next few days but calorie intake really does impact my speed on a computer

2) eating soft cheese & I have obtained oatmeal, grits, & ravioli that likely won’t make the broken tooth worse (not in pain, just hungry.)

I’m not sure if I have a little energy or need a nap.

Just broke a molar ... yay.

It somehow doesn't hurt (it's a bit sharp if I stick my tongue back there) but now I need to review Rahaeli's posts about things that work at the dentist because the last time they drilled on a tooth I had to feel it all.

"Can I get a break" wasn't this.

This is possibly THE worst pen I’ve ever attempted to use. And yes, I shook it like I was supposed to. It either won’t give me any paint or it blobs out. Shook it more. Same.

Anyone have a good *extra fine tip, permanent* gold pen they like? Anything else that will show up on black reliably?
