To be fair, the Pico/Rimpau transit center is down there, so that alignment would have at least connected to something. Some of the possible westward extensions from there would be kinda awkward, tho...

Also I did spend a little time in the general area of the D line extension while I was in LA and I was, in fact, a bit annoyed that it hadn't opened yet.

That said I can't say I'm fond of the routing this plan was attached to, which sent the Red Line down Wilshire to Fairfax and then up Fairfax and doubling back to get to Hollywood. That was dumb.

Usual caveats about expectations and reality apply here (tho the Bloc at 7th/Metro Center is pretty nice) but they wanted to put in an underground mall and maybe possibly have a *restaurant* with what looks like *windows* looking out onto the platform! You could have lunch and *foam!!*

I’d certainly feel some type of way if my 3am train was on such bad track it couldn’t go faster than 15 mph.

There was also this one guy who read the sales pitch in the style of a Baptist preacher with dramatic music and everything...for two completely different companies. I hope someone interviews that guy someday; he's probably a legend in a very specific niche circle.
