fwiw we spent all of trump 1.0 hoping dems had a great master plan while watching them do stuff like this. they didn’t.
hopefully mamdani does have some next steps mapped out after this. people (including me) trust him to play the long game, and i hope we’re right.

schumer most definitely did not come across as reserved when he tried stuff like this years ago. and the fact that congressional/senate dems did stuff like this while slow-walking impeachment, not breaking senate norms, etc is part of what has hurt their credibility with the dem base
