TL;DR: the *actual* poverty line in the US for a family of four with two young children is about $140,000, and there isn't much improvement in quality of life between $40K and $100K.

What the ad does is remind servicemembers of their duty/loyalty to the Constitution, not to the person giving them orders. It is a subtle reorientation of their duty to higher principles. But for Trump and Hegseth, this is a problem 4/
