This story doesn't mention that Donald Trump said at this event he would label those protesting Tesla as domestic terrorists and would punish them.

I'm just wondering how and why that was left out of this story and not the lede to it.

Trump Poses With a Tesla, a Move Aimed Solely at Helping Musk
President Trump has spent years bashing electric vehicles. But with Elon Musk by his side, he said he would buy a bright red one.

Working from small color copies of photos: Four watercolor panorama landscapes in 4 hours today as part of a class in Palo Alto. Each is 7.5x22. None is completely finished. They mostly need more darks and some fine tuning but I’m generally happy with results.

Outstanding webinar this afternoon with Heather Cox Richardson and Simon Rosenberg. Three, among many, take-aways:
1) We need to put pressure on our elected leaders.
2) We need to act out. Trump hates protests.
3) We are are stronger than we know.

The problem with Democratic Party is that no one takes them seriously because they don’t take themselves seriously.

You can’t simultaneously argue Trump is a fascist intent on destroying democracy but your major response is to wear a pink suit to a speech, and expect to be taken seriously.

If, for example, Trump says nobody is allowed to dance, on penalty of death, he has no legal power to make that declaration and no power to enforce it, but if everyone stops dancing it's as good as if he did. Reporting as though Trump has these powers helps give him those powers.

I’m imagining people sitting in a bank while it is being looted and robbed holding little signs that say “this is theft”

And other people being a little rude and yelling a little at the robbers who are demanding respect & who want to kill literally everyone

At this point, we really need to face Democratic leadership complicity.

With notable and courageous exceptions we can all easily identify by name, they’re clearly beholden to the same billionaire donors and foreign interests as the Republicans.

I wish that weren’t the case.

This week’s assignment for 2D Art was to create
a 3 color cut paper artwork. I used a photo of my friend Wendy Rein performing on the outdoor stage at Jacob’s Pillow a while back. I chose to leave some pencil line work rather than overcrowd or unbalance the image with too much heavy foliage. #art

In response he wrote nasty posts about her on his socials. Let’s send postcards of support her way. See photo
