Frost has come for the mums but these two little blooms said nah, not us. Not yet
Basket of yellow mums that are beginning to shrivel due to the colder temps overnight. Two blooms remain bright and full in the autumn sun. Ain’t over till it’s over.

Naked-eye visible aurora tonight

Someone (or ones) had themselves a mighty feast
Several ears of dried corn absolutely annihilated by some critters shoring up their winter stores. Every kernel save for two or three are gone. Amazing work. 11/10 Small empty ear of dried corn next to a tiny white pumpkin. Several ears of dried corn lying about, nary a kernel to be found. I think this happened in a single day or overnight. Glad to help feed some critters.

Oh nothing, just thinking about the Eames chair I saw a few weeks ago
Gray plastic-molded Eames chair from the late 40s. I audibly gasped when I saw it in the antique shop. I told the proprietress to just keep it. She said she just might. The price tag that reads $995. That’s a no from me.

My cheesesteak came in this bag and I was so amped

Update: haunted beach ball tried to flee and got trapped
Beach ball wedged between my neighbor’s tree and a fence. I’m sure I’m on their cams trying to look like I’m not taking a pic of their trees. I hope the beach ball goes back to the realm in which it belongs.

Gourds are still intact. We haven’t melted (yet)
Little white pumpkin shaped gourd with a nice stem (important aesthetic) that has a bunch of twiggy curls around it. A yellow and white mini long neck gourd is giving it a little hug. They will either turn to mush or be eaten by squirrels fairly soon. Come n get it!

Some years ago, a beach ball appeared in our side yard then vanished a few days later. We deemed it haunted. Now it hath returned
A pink, blue, yellow, and white beach ball that is sitting on a pile of leaves that have blown into the corner of a wooden fence. I expect it to disappear swiftly. I wish it a good journey. I do not have a pool.
