Bluesky community! This is my official NYC mayor account. I’ll be posting updates on what’s happening at City Hall and how we’re delivering for New Yorkers. It’s great to be here.

Ellison: "State authorities can investigate anyway. We don't need their authority. It's at least arguable that there's a violation of MN statues here. All of them depend on an investigation though. And the federal govt can't stop MN from doing it's own, but I would hope it wouldn't come to that."

And now someone has uploaded a version that wasn't filmed off a TV.

There's also the torrent link there, which is probably the fastest way to download the 60 Minutes segment on CECOT if you want to save the file locally to your computer.

Bari Weiss spiked the CECOT story because she wanted to have Stephen Miller included and demanded to control the language 60 Minutes used to describe the men who were brutally tortured after being sent to El Salvador without due process.

Congress’s three favorite lines:
1. Sorry we can’t do anything, we’re in the minority
2. Sorry we can’t do anything, we need a supermajority
3. Sorry we can’t do anything, our party’s in the White House and we have to support the president

Today, I spoke with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his wife, Jennifer. In April, when I met with him in El Salvador, Trump said he would never set foot in the U.S. again.

This case has never been about one man alone; if the govt can violate the constitutional rights of one, all our rights are threatened.

As someone who works in an elite professional services setting, I fully endorse @brettscott.bsky.social‘s essay on the reality distorting effects of life atop the pyramid of financialized capitalism, and can attest to how little thought is given by those who inhabit such spaces to what lies beneath.
My latest essay paints a picture of life on top of the economic pyramid - in the finance and tech sector - and shows how that position distorts not only pay, but also the mentality of those with their heads in the cloud

Who is the genius consultant who thought it would be smart for every Democrat to begin fundraising pitches with “is there anything I can say?” Hard to think of a better way to signal you belong to a feckless party that has no core beliefs and will say whatever it thinks the voters want to hear.
