video games, wrestling, weird Rock Band obsessions, leftist politics. they/them
I don’t do this so much any more, but this is a thing I did so much when I was younger. Lots of JRPGs + sports, which is kinda an ideal combination in some ways, since something like that is easy to turn away from without even needing to pause when the sport gets exciting.

at no point did this actually happen, but I’d guess he once went there and saw that everyone running the registers at that time were hispanic and thought “fuck, there’s no way they will understand me unless I speak spanish”

You gotta focus on what you are excited to DO, not who you imagine you will get to BE. That way lies madness and striving and tragedy.

the astounding thing is how in the run-up to it they highlight that these are sentient people in this world

if that was just a blind spot, that’d be one thing, but they know and still go with you gotta erase these people to destroy the work of your lost loved one and if you don’t that’s monstrous

it’s so bad. I watched the verso ending and couldn’t stop thinking about how it’s just rich people would rather destroy a world of sentient life than go to therapy

also props to @jaymcastello.bsky.social for just casually tossing out "women are a sequel to men" putting a framework onto a concept that's been bothering me for years but i didn't know how to explain it or codify it previously

It will never not amuse me that Suzuki has been in the game long enough to go from Yakuza protagonist to Yakuza antagonist

It hits way less when you know the deeply transphobic context in which it was uttered.
