People need to stop trying to make disengaging into some strategic move. You didn't figure out how an administration is trying to trick you into protesting. You're just saying you don't want to take a specific action. There's a difference, and they'll move their agenda forward with or without you.

Too many people keep saying, “They're just trying to get a reaction out of us.” A fascist government is not your petty ex. They don't need a reaction out of you. They're carrying out their agenda whether you react or not. Talking about the administrators of a fascist state like this is so detached.

Those who act incredulously in response to ICE-gestapo comparisons seek to erase specific historical understanding of the development of genocidal forces as relevant to the current moment in the name of defending the decontextualized historical specificity of the holocaust.

Credit where credit is due. The Chicago Teachers Union fought CPS to make this policy!
Also, thank you to @ctulocal1.bsky.social for pushing for our district to adopt sanctuary policies!

Trump clearly hates Palestinians too and will enable Israeli brutality in other ways, we can be sure of that. This was clearly politically motivated on his part, but the Democrats simply handed him this victory. I hope they never recover.

He credibly did more to end this (phase of the) genocide than they did. That’s not an endorsement of him in any way it’s damnation of them, and a simple observation of the facts. It will haunt them for years.

He has no concern for those left to die or sort through the rubble of his conquests, including even his own family. The collective delusion mirrors the abusive control and strategic abandonment he clearly exercises in his domestic life as well.

It is essential to human advancement, maybe survival, that Musk is properly reevaluated not as a climate hero but as perhaps the ultimate villain, providing a myth of progress while doubling down on car culture, bulldozing ecosystem, and planning an escape route for the elite.
