It's the last day of Ace Week and I'm recovering from gum graft surgery. But, I think this brought up something important for me. I feel a lot of pressure (mostly self inflicted) to perform my pride "correctly". To look defiantly happy as an aroace agender person existing in a queerphobic world.

I was going to include examples of the AVALANCHE of terrible figure drawing tutorials, but I don't think it would be kind to call out other artists just cause they got this wrong.
Instead, here's Andrew Loomis' tutorial. He's an incredible art educator and gifted artist, but look at this nonsense:

Thought I'd add some leg exercises to my workout Saturday; and settled on kettlebell squats.
"Sure, I'll just take hold of this 20lb bowling ball with a handle. Seems like a good weight to start, right?"

Friends, Romans, countrymen! It totally worked! Tenderest pork chops I've ever eaten! Did I overcook them? By over 40°F. Still turned out amazing.

If there's anything I've learned from making comics, it's that you have to find what you're afraid to draw, then draw it A LOT.
I used to be afraid of hands, but I've now drawn them so many times that it's a non-issue. But figures in perspective? Oh, boy.
