Taken a few across town for just over a quid. Super quick and easy, much quicker than a bus and that's usually without any safe or dedicated infrastructure - including no floating bus stops. Could be used by everyone if those things were available. So much potential.

They hate pedestrians and walkers. Any excuse to close any of it. They'll try and close it again in the spring for lambing in case walkers or cyclists "disturb" the sheep. SUV's driving to their golf course is apparently fine

BBC victim blaming someone for wearing certain clothes. How very 'reform' of them

1) Not call it free. It should be called publicly subsidised parking no matter who uses it. 2) if Public transport is publicly owned, as it should then it’s much easier as we’re already subsidising a public service and bigger picture is it costs us less to enable PT than subsidised parking

Also, their saving the NHS bloody money too by exercising not being lazy inactive spongers sitting in heavily subsidised, pollution and ill health causing killing machines!

Looks like they only record it when the police report it and there is injury "The records relate only to personal injury accidents on public roads that are reported to the police, and subsequently recorded, using the STATS19 accident reporting form" Shame it's not wider scope including near misses

Literally having a discussion about Duddingston Low Road yesterday amongst cyclists about how HES has done all they could to discourage what could be an AMAZING active travel corridor with just the smallest of widening of the pavements.

Instead we have 75m of this.

Always interesting to look up at the CrashMap to see what HSE and others view as an acceptable way to be injured or killed and what's not: www.crashmap.co.uk
