Edinburgh, cyclist, cycling without age pilot, cook, gardener, music, trains, canals, climate justice. Can we just accept Tr*ump & M*usk are bawbags and post about nice stuff?
Pinch points that invited close passes have been removed from top of Mound 👍 Signs on pavement 👎 Signs could go on the very wide road but drivers can't be trusted not to hit them #beseen

Move the cyclist between the 2 cars in the background and you can see a fundamental flaw The Council ignored. It doesn't change the fundamental design of the street and you STILL risk being doored/or close passed. Only confident/experienced cyclists will use this @stephenjenkinson.bsky.social

Amongst the permanent design features on the Mound that have designed in close passes, this temporary one also does the job 🤯 @stephenjenkinson.bsky.social @cllrcmiller.bsky.social @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social

George square. Enormous skip with lots of other plastic grass being thrown out 🤯 How is this responsible?!

It would be nice if the festival - Summer and Winter were cleared away as quickly in our parks as it is in our parking spaces

Driver heads down the wrong way of Queensferry High Street towards a long line of vehicles heading on the other direction. The Council expect cyclists to share this space. Could be soooooooo much better if it was closed to vehicles.

Why are Edinburgh Council putting up barriers at Haymarket that everyone else is taking out? Pedestrians walk here as the design prioritises motor cars right outside a busy station. Blame the design not the people! @edinreporter.bsky.social @edinburghminute.bsky.social @livingstreetsedi.bsky.social

At that stage of my life where I’m more impressed by the bike parking outside than the art #hiddendoor

The wall to the car park of the Scottish Motor Trade Association has been damaged by a driver 😏

When you go to Palermo and your supposed to be looking at the architecture but you just spend it spotting critical mass posters @edcriticalmass.bsky.social

Works are into 3rd week but at least they’ve stuck one “do not overtake cyclists” sign up

A low sun as well as mixing it with speeding tailgating drivers this morning on Queensferry Road. Horrible Anyway, I liked hearing all the politicians go out about “cycling legacy” yesterday #edintravel

Anyone know if the protected cycle lane on Queensferry Closed is going to be closed for 80 working days?! It's been closed for last 2 days at least - apparently footway resurfacing is taking place. Don't fancy mixing with this traffic for 4 months here @spokes.org.uk @sw20ed.bsky.social @edi.bike

More monumental incompetence from ScotRail this weekend on Fife line. Scotland and Hibs at home. Only 2/3 cartridge trains running before games with only 1 x 6 train carriage running too late to be in time for start of games. Trains rammed & people left on platforms AGAIN 🤬 @turvill.bsky.social

We can now add portaloos to the list of things people think it’s ok to dump on cycle routes. Nat cycle route 1 at Silverknowes Terrace. Reported

A couple of big trees down on Nat Cycle Route 1 and 76 at rear of Queensferry High. There is a quick diversion through adjacent car park
