There’s no such thing as a climate haven — if by haven we mean a place without rising climate threats.

Some places, are, however relatively safe from danger.

Some are better prepared to manage their particular set of dangers.

Some are both.

That nowhere is safe does not mean every place is equally unsafe. Choose wisely.

Don Garber offers a rare number on Apple streaming: "We're averaging 120,000 unique viewers per match. That's an increase of almost 50% from last year."

Says "distribution" through cable and satellite box subscriptions has helped.

Highly recommend this Construction Physics blog post on the viability of solar power as the backbone of an electricity system.

Seriously, read it -- most people, even energy-literate people, have not kept up on this subject. Things have changed *so* fast, all your old cliches are outdated.
Can We Afford Large-scale Solar PV?
In the US solar energy has steadily risen in how much of our electricity it supplies.

I don't know if the LA fire department is properly funded or not but the claim that the city cut its budget last year — which is circulating widely on the right — is false.

As Politico notes, the budget actually INCREASED by $50 million. A portion of the funding was approved in a separate bill.
