I feel like people saying that X rank is easier to get in this game stopped a lot of people from trying to improve at this game than we realize. We kinda diminished how huge of an accomplishment that getting to X is.

"people in x rank suck" "I can never get good teams in x they're all so bad." The enemy team also looks like your team. If you are soo much better than your team you should also be stomping the enemies.

The Splatoon community is soooo lucky to be in the position it's in and I feel like we don't appreciate it enough tbh. Trying to interact with any other gaming community reminds me of how openly racist and homophobic people can be without receiving ANY consequences for their actions.
ive tried comp in other games the past couple of months and this is how it went.
>landed my first brawl stars team, got kicked out once they found out i was trans.
>landed my first ow2 team, my tank player ended up being a communist and the org manager has no problem with it.
