18 U.S. states now have local guaranteed income pilots that are proving that UBI works.

It cuts poverty, boosts stability, and respects dignity. The question isn’t if we can do #UBI. It’s when we’ll scale it.

Two things came in at the bifurcation: Thatcherism, and the microprocessor. I think the latter was much more significant and influential.

We need Universal Basic Income.
A reminder that if the minimum wage had kept pace with worker productivity gains since the 1960s, it would now be nearly $26 an hour.

I refuse to pay £20pcm extra to watch F1 on Sky. BBC Sports app gives me excellent commentary for quali and race. VPN gives me video to match. Both using services I’m already paying for.

Streaming services - never mind a 'Skip Intro' or 'Skip Recap' option. We need a 'Skip What's Coming Up' option. The first 5 mins (at least) on programmes showing us what's going to happen are the worst thing ever invented in the tv industry. Just let me watch with no spoilers.

For “All options are on the table” read “I/We don‘t know what the fuck to do!”

Delete as appropriate.

We have a number of chat groups in our dispersed family, if we want to share certain memes or maybe plan surprises for family members that explicitly exclude that one family member.

Do you?

Preppers have been waiting for civilization to collapse.

They thought the pandemic would do it but now it looks like they voted in someone to bring it about.

Worth pointing out that Sir Keith’s announcement today is for NHS **ENGLAND**.

Wales has it’s own NHS that is managed differently.

There are people in this world striving to join the 1%. That is their goal above all else.

The don’t realise that the 1% is like the expanding universe and can never be caught.

All the wannabes do is hurt the rest of use and feed the 1%.

I don’t know what to say today. It’s just horrible but in the most bizarre way possible.

Can we rewind and do this decade again, but better?

Take a moment to think back 10/20 years.

Remember what the world was like for you then & what you though it would be like now.

Next think about how the world will be for you 10/20 years from now.

STOP!

Stop worry about the future and get on with now. Make the best of now, it wont come again.
