First pottery class done! Never done this before but I really enjoyed it and my instructor was impressed by my first attempts. I picked it up pretty quickly and made what I wanted (a yunomi 湯のみ) after my third attempt. It was then cut in half to better understand the process 😅
Good on Christine Jardine for taking this to Parliament. Lets see Rockstar dodge this!
The Rockstar union case made its way into UK Parliament earlier today
Video game giant Rockstar has sacked more than 30 workers across the UK, including my constituents working at their Edinburgh office. I urged Ministers to support workers who have lost their jobs, and stop this from happening again.

This is such a shitty position for the workers to be in either way. They're either out of work, or reinstated while being the target of every ounce of corporate malfeasance Take Two/Rockstar c-suite shitheads are prepared to throw at them as employees.
"This is a blatant, unapologetic act of vicious union busting" - Hundreds of Rockstar employees sign letter to management, demanding fired colleagues get reinstated www.eurogamer.net/this-is-a-bl...

Following the launch of Arc Raiders, it’s important to assume that whichever CEO who talks about the extensive application of AI across the industry is talking total fucking bullshit.
Following the launch of Arc Raiders – and the ongoing debate regarding the use of generative AI – Nexon CEO Junghun Lee has said "it's important to assume every game company" is using the technology

What movie villain is a horrible "person", but an absolute joy to watch on screen?

I mean, considering how long Bond has been going for and his varying appearances over the years, I just assumed "James Bond" was a "legend" identity just as much as the 00 codename was.
Just go with that!

@richardepcar.bsky.social Waddaya think, man?
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Hooooo boy! THIS! It was Aura that got me into IGF judging about 5 years ago and I take it very seriously. The last few years of event judging has been more than a little frustrating when it’s just demos. A public vertical slice won’t cut it if you want you game to be put forward on its best merits.
blog post boiling within me titled "indie publishers, you need to get your shit together" based on this year of indie pubs submitting games to IGF w/ a demo and then when asked for a dev build so anyone can actually judge it, either ghost or go "we will provide you with a build on the release date"

Stumbled across a small pottery exhibition on my way to Sunny George for coffee. Came away with a really nice cup to add to the collection.

Just reposting this again because you should all be playing this wonderful game. It’s like ¥990 on JP Steam and a neat 4 hours of solid gameplay.
I've just been playing some of Hypogea and it's absolutely wonderful!
A really well designed platforming third person adventure with some really novel traversal mechanics. This has to be the first ever "pole-vault em' up", surely!

Go play it!
THE GAME IS OUT, I REPEAT, THE GAME IS OUT

Hopefully I squashed all the bugs, hope everyone enjoys it!

Part of me doesn't quite agree with reviewing a game badly for biased reasons, but also a much larger part of me is in FULL agreement with putting a studio on blast for its continued use of AI to undercut voice actors and creatives for the BS excuse of time and budget. Embark can afford all of it!
For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.
