watching Samuel L. Jackson advertise seaweed chips grown at a wind farm has such a futuristic flavor to it.

1. Wow…

Twenty-seven US Senators voted for the first resolution to block bomb sales to the Israeli military.

Like so much that has been happening in the past few weeks, this would have been unthinkable two years ago.

Pittsburgh is at it again! A demonstration in support of immigrants and anti-ICE made a lot of good noise downtown this afternoon, after several vibrant rallies yesterday.

I’ll be doing a evening of “songs we all can sing” on June 29 at the Breezeway Home. All my “ill gotten gains”🤣 will go to Casa San Jose!

These American children have been abducted and exiled, not "deported." Deportation implies a legal process and there is none for these actions.

The ONLY thing Harvard should send to Kristi Noem is a two page letter. First page: See attached list of our student’s transgressions. Second page: completely blank. Any other response will trigger a stupid pissing match. Don’t name names. There’s gonna be a fight-might as well join it with honor.

The Trump administration abruptly laid off the entire staff running a $4.1 billion program to help low-income households across the U.S. pay their heating and cooling bills.
Entire Staff Is Fired at LIHEAP
The move threatens to paralyze the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps to offset high utility bills for roughly 6.2 million people nationwide.

A massive crowd gathered in the pouring rain today in Pittsburgh to demand UPMC reinstate trans youth healthcare and stop capitulating to the fascist regime.

UPMC would not accept the letter. Shame. We will be back.

It was so wet. Those of us in rain jackets were fine, but people in T-shirts looked chilly! If you're in Pittsburgh, find your rain gear for this Saturday, and you'll be good.

Me and some new friends standing behind the speakers at the event outside UPMC today.

UPMC management cancelled an 18-year-old patient's top surgery. There's no law forbidding it (yet). Every medical standard supports it for a patient with their history. UPMC are just craven boot-lickers.

A small but loud group rallied today in Pittsburgh to protest UPMC’s cancellation of scheduled gender-affirming surgery because the patient is “only 18.” This is blatant capitulation to Trump’s anti-trans discrimination. 18 is the age of majority in PA. Except for the right to gender-related care?
