I’m a Museum professional in my day job and it’s so easy to feel criminally frivolous at a time like this. And yet ultimately if the point is preserving beauty, and all I can do is make sure beauty is lent safely and compliantly, ultimately that makes the world a bit less messed up? I hope?

I try to remember that whenever we talk about how much of a fucked up horror show the world is, what we mean is that the world is full of good people being wronged and beauty being destroyed, that we risk losing all of it—not a denial of the good in the world but its affirmation.

A digital art piece featuring spock from the original series star trek tos) In this piece, he is seen half laying on his side with one leg folded under him while his weight is being placed on his right hand side. From his head there are a few crest feathers His facial expression is solemn and his eyes are mostly closed. He looks to be resting on a marble stone wall with many pillars holding it up, however this is not fully rendered, as the statues are simply placed behind him without having any affect on his body. The main feature of this piece is the large peacock tail that he has which trails down and cuts through the boarder of the art piece. It is done in many different greens and blues, however they may seem desaturated as the overall purple overtone may give this feeling. There are various kinds of foliage surrounding him, including trees as well as cat-tails and peacock plants. Along the inside boarder, the piece takes a slightly lighter shade along with lace along the inside. On the black part of the boarder there are also lace designs. On the outside rims of the boarders, there are plant forms on either side which are mirrored. On the top there are a few similar Floral designs, however they are very loose in form. On the bottom, the boarder dissolves into ivy-like shapes which cover more flower and plant like designs, however on either side there are vulcan lirpas which face inward. The overall piece is lightly purple toned, and there is a light noise filter overtop everything. A digital drawing of Spock and Kirk from Star trek in their admiralty uniforms. The overall piece is pink-toned however it uses pink-browns and creams to give off a candy-like feeling. They are dancing together. Their hands are joined together in a lead in the background and Kirk's hand rests on spocks back lightly. Spocks arm goes around Kirk's shoulder. Their legs are somewhat tangled together. They are tilted to the side. It is a clumsy feeling between them. They are highlighted by a heart as well as other decals such as strawberries and swirls. Along the sides are are wave shapes as well as marigolds in each corner and each top arches. there are various other figures including stars, lemons, two crystaline entities and in the background of the largest picture of lore - A crescent moon. The text boxes are decorated with the warm blue. They read (from top to bottom); -"The sons of the prophet were / valiant and bold," -"And quite unaccustomed / to fear." -"But out of all the most / Reckless, or so I am told - / Was Abdul Abulbul Amir ." This is a direct reference to what Lore sings in the TNG episode (S4e03) "Brothers". A large digital art piece featuring the character known as "Q" from the star trek series, particularly dressed and depicted in his original appearance from the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. THis piece depicts Q sitting on the judge throne in his judge outfit, using bright reds to colour the robes, with sharp white and orange highlights. The background of this piece is green, which contrasts the bright red from Q and the orange from the tiger. The title is a reference to "House of the Rising Sun". On the boarder, which is a darker green/turquoise there are strawberry patterns in red, green and yellow however they are faint. There are small sparkles throughout the piece however they are most visible and prominent around each halo.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine started on 03/01/1993 and had such powerfully chaotic bisexual energy that by two years in even Newsweek couldn’t ignore the bisexual phenomenon.
