I updated this due to an astute follower pointing out that Alabama changed their laws to have off year local elections as well. That's a lot of races in 2025 in some 31 states! Local elections matter! Get involved! Send a message! This doesn't even include a bunch of special elections happening now!

The other big problem—in fact, the biggest—had nothing to do w progressive vs center. It was Biden’s decision to run for a second term. He is very unpopular and 100 days wasn’t enough for her to chart her own independent path. She was seen as the incumbent at a time when voters wanted change.
