DOGE feels like if someone believed that a china shop down the street was selling fakes and decided the best possible way to find and eliminate those fakes was to release a bull into the china shop. The predictable outcome is everything breaks fake (if there ever were any) and real. 1/2

Here’s an idea: when calling to complain about Emperor Musk’s illegal regime, ask to have him hauled before congress to have to present evidence of this so called waste and fraud under oath

And speaking of haters, an absolutely brilliant piece from @brianphillips.bsky.social on the great joy of watching the Chiefs lose. There's too many delicious lines in here to list them all, so just click it, ok?

The Malicious Joy of Watching the Chiefs Crumble
Their Super Bowl loss doesn’t make me hate the Chiefs any less. They are still the worst. Here are five irrefutable reasons.

I don't WANT to preach this morning -- JD Vance is not a serious person, he lacks the intellectual chops to do this kind of work, so rewarding his thirst with response is undignified -- but the Spirit demands at least a brief bit of sermonizing

Would love to understand why every Democrat is not out there every second of the day explaining in plain English that Donald Trump has declared war on cancer patients.
From a source inside the National Cancer Institute:

“Everyone is scrambling to figure out how we’re supposed to work to serve the public when we can’t engage at all.”

Gearing up for the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl courtesy of some asinine call by the refs.

Welp. The Bills are well and truly cursed. Also, who did the Chiefs sell their soul to, to get ALL the calls/luck?

🚨Trump/Miller are targeting LEGAL immigrants.🚨

Parolees played by the rules and came in through a legal process.

Miller is super clear that expelling them has nothing to do with *how* people came in; everything to do with his bigotry against *where* they came from.

Fascism’s superpower is fear. Do not be afraid of this little man and his collection of creeps; that’s what they want. They’re not all-powerful, they’re not overawing, they’re not an irresistible force of nature. They’re just self-serving, dishonest people. Do not cower.

The lack of violence here in DC on this January 6th offers little comfort. It is merely the contingent result of the victory of the man and the party who would undermine democracy over the woman and the party who would uphold it.

Does the word "man" mean male or person?

I've been in several debates with others about Bible translations lately. I've argued that some translations (like the ESV) deliberately obscure when in Greek it was meant to be gender-neutral by using male pronouns.

They've pushed back.
