So the Republican Party has historically blocked:

-Paid sick leave
-Paid family & medical leave
-Universal childcare
-Universal pre-K
-Expanded Child Tax Credit
-Programs to support reproductive health

And they're wondering why more people aren't having children?

Trump has gutted food inspection programs at the FDA and USDA — including the committee that investigated last year's fatal Boar's Head listeria outbreak.

The USDA is also rolling back safety regulations to “streamline” meat processing.

How is this Making America Healthy Again?

NEW: When a firefighter dies, a small team of federal health workers helps pinpoint what went wrong and identify how to avoid similar accidents in the future.

Trump laid off nearly all of them.

The cuts, which are part of Trump’s slashing of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, will also halt a first-of-its-kind study of the causes of thousands of firefighters’ cancer cases.

Sorry, this is utterly unconvincing. The most important positive thing Bush did as president, Pepfar, has been eviscerated by Trump. He has moral authority as a former president esp as a Republican. The failure to speak up, gives more legitimacy to Trump and his depredations.
GW isn't going to say anything. I think he realizes he doesn't need to, and that it won't help anyway. Any conservative that would have a chance of being swayed by him is already a never Trumper.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Dear senators who think you can’t do anything,

Today, Senator Van Hollen - through diplomatic pressure - got a meeting with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. So that thing you’re thinking about doing? DO IT.

You saw the video of the ICE agent breaking a car window near the border, right? He wasn’t an ICE agent. He’s the founder of Veterans on Patrol, a FAR-RIGHT MILITIA patrolling the border for migrants. They’re basically deputizing militias to act as federal agents. This is dangerously out of control
