There was a time you couldn't compare consoles by their AMD GPU memory bandwidth. They were fundamentally different visions of how you even write software. Of what the future would be. And they got it wrong. Until the convergence. Things were special until they weren't.

I miss utes (utility vehicles for non-austalians) that weren't the size of monster trucks. My 90s lifted Hilux 4x4 looked small next to a modern Hilux!

I had a meeting with my VP last year and I communicated how I sometimes felt like I was not being bold enough and I just wanted to understand I had their support.

They told me, to the effect, our job is to operate understanding things are going to break doing nothing.

This may sound sappy but this is the gist of what "technology connections" are.

Most everyday machines work on pretty basic concepts. They're designed to be convenient to use and effective, but when you understand the concepts through which they work you can adapt those concepts to new problems!
