Terrible runner, great tea drinker, enjoys karate katas, likes data.
I can predict every argument against this. And they are all covers for one statement 'We don't want to rock the boat in case we fall behind'
Yet if every country did this, no one would fall behind.
🚨 The UK government just published a breakdown of the responses to its consultation on AI & copyright:

- 95% of respondents want AI companies to pay for their training data (made up of 88% saying strengthen copyright law, & 7% saying leave it as is)

Ahmed al Ahmed, a Lebanese Muslim who owns a Sydney fruit shop, risked his life to disarm one of the Bondi Beach shooters.

His courage gives me hope amidst the horror and darkness. Muslims and Jews are not enemies. Our futures, in the Middle East and beyond, are intrinsically bound.

A true hero.

4 yrs ago today, a family member managed a truly spectacular own goal, splintered his domestic bliss, & in the process, united the world for a day.

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day

So gather around children, for this is the tale of The Rice Truck Saga

It’s easy to see why Trump wants to destroy the world’s number one news source. We can’t let him.

The BBC belongs to all of us here in the UK.

The Prime Minister and leaders from across the political spectrum should be united in telling Trump to keep his hands off it.

Just finished If Anyone Builds it, everyone dies. The logic that it is a possibility is sound. But I do feel like its going back to the 1920s and warning about nuclear holocaust. It's not tangible to many people enough to figure out how to reduce the probability.
