Thank you for asking!
The Indiana Pacers are 20% owned by Steven Rales. Steven is also the cofounder and chairman of Danaher, which owns Cepheid. Cepheid makes GeneXpert rapid TB tests. Making rapid tests affordable and broadly accessible is a key part of the strategy to end TB!

All across the country today, TBFighters are getting on planes and trains and automobiles and heading towards the nation's capital. It's like a reverse infection. Or maybe we are the immune response...? Antibiotics? Still workshopping tbh

TB is rare in the US partly because of brilliant trans people. The US put xray machines on vans and drove around saying "xrays here, get yer free xrays", catching cases before people got sick.

The guy who pioneered diagnosing TB with chest xrays? Alan Hart, who was a trans man. #EverythingIsTB

TBFighters haven't forgotten that it's still #TimeFor5.
Danaher needs to produce their long-overdue audit. Can you believe we have been waiting for two occurrences of #WorldTBDay now?

It's #WorldTBDay.

To ensure quick diagnosis and early treatment, WHO recommends the use of rapid molecular #tuberculosis (TB) tests as the initial diagnostic test for all persons with signs and symptoms of TB.

It's #WorldTBDay. Let's remember that even before recent threats to #Tuberculosis funding, there was a funding gap for #TBdiagnosis, #TBtreatment, and #TBresearch.

We must increase (not decrease) global health investments to fight this epidemic.

This #WorldTBDay, we stand in solidarity with the millions who are affected or lose their lives because of tuberculosis every year.

The effort to #EndTB is urgent. Global health budgets are being cut around the world and TB rates right here in Canada are rising.

It's world TB day.

The last two months have been a series of attacks on global health, infectious disease science and vulnerable populations. The damage will take decades to undo, and we are heading onto a steep global health disaster.

We can't stay quiet.

On one hand, I desperately want people to understand that TB is not a disease of the past and take it seriously. On the other hand, I desperately need people to understand the Kansas TB outbreak is not the largest in the history of the US

Attended an extremely insightful webinar from UCL-TB yesterday. TB in the UK is a familiar story of social deprivation and lack of access.

The attempts by the Trump administration to stop foreign aid and close down USAID can make us feel hopeless, but I’m reminded of one of the most impactful papers I read for my Global Health degree on power in Global Health governance, written by Suerie Moon (1/5)
