Chomsky is such a great exemplar of the anti-antifa politics that were widespread in the Left prior to 2017 -- specifically a total rejection of the core antifa planks of Three Way Fight and No Platform.

I found Malm’s Fossil Capital is really insightful for understanding how the fossil fuel industry and their backers have amassed so much political and economic power. Looking forward to reading this new one.

It’s been 8 months I’ve been out of work. Affecting my self-worth. Both because I feel like I’m not contributing to cause I care about (climate) but also that maybe I’m not good enough to do so because no one wants to hire me for that purpose

The primary purpose of the fossil fuel industry is not to provide energy. It is to accumulate wealth. A transition away from fossil fuels, at the scale and pace we need, will not happen without fundamental changes to the current prevailing social relations. Seems like we might kill our selves first.
