New paper shows how England dominates UK foreign policy irrespective of the views of other members of a multi-nation union. But what shapes England's world view?

Government has published one of those quiet but important documents that might get overlooked as it is not 'newsy'. The headline finding is that £1 of public R&D investment generates £8 in net economic benefits for the UK over the long term

Net migration to the UK is falling rapidly. But how far will it fall? A new, detailed estimate by @jamesbowes01.bsky.social projects net migration in 2026 will be 70K to 170K.

This will have significant consequences, both economic and political.

Andrew Fox is not Jewish neither is he the honorary head of the Jewish AVFC fan club. He's a far-right propagandist and Palestinian genocide denier. #SkyNews #FakeNews

Some doubt when I say there is a revival of political theory of multiculturalism taking place. Yet this article by @timsout.bsky.social reviews four recent collections comprising about 70 chapters by about 50 authors is good evidence of at least a mini-revival:

It would be helpful to have 6+ people willing to share a shockingly egregious example of having a report rejected.

It would also be helpful to hear from MPs & other public voices willing to add their voices to calls on Ofcom (new powers Nov) and EHRC (new chair Dec) to act
bsky.app/profile/sund...
If I had 6-12 people who had reported something unlawful & obviously indefensible, get the report rejected, and be willing to speak/advocate about it, that would be a good basis for asking a wider group of people - eg MPs - to support the call for an intervention & investigation of legal duties

Having illustrated the problem of X ignoring its legal duties, I want to build an effective coalition for intervention. If you are or know people on X receiving racist abuse, rape threats, I would welcome receipts of one rejected attempt to report to the platform an indefensible case
Thanks for this kind note. I hope to do something useful with this by Nov/Dec (new Ofcom powers, new EHRC chair). I'd like more women + ethnic minorities to go through (futile) process of reporting shocking stuff (eg rape threats, p-word, n-word) & share receipts with me of one egregious example
